A Guide to Class Discussion

Welcome to the class discussion homepage. The purpose of this discussion page is for students to discuss a specific topic online. Students will be participating in similar types of discussions as they enter high school and college. While this exercise may not be as strenuous, students can learn many valuable skills through the process.

Students have been assigned a login name and password. Their login name is simply their first name and their password is their ID number. It is very important that students login under the correct name so credit can be given to the right person. Students can login at the “Student Login” link on this page and on the “For Kids” page. Once the student logs in, the will need to click on Mrs. Struthers Class that can be found in the top left-hand corner in white print. Here the student will be directed to the discussion pages. Now, the student can find where they need to post their discussion. There is a box at the bottom of the screen of each different topic where the student can enter their comments.

It is vital that all students behave in their discussions. All discussions have to go through me before they will be officially posted on the webpage. Any student that abuses this wonderful resource in any way will not be allowed to participate and will be assigned a much lengthier hand-written assignment in its place.
